Shipping building materials to Japan from abroad

I’m shipping heavy building materials from China. The cheapest option gets them to the port in Tokyo but the company is not able to help with the last part of the journey, from the port to the door. Does anyone know any shipping agents in Tokyo that can handle this?

This is a fairly niche request, perhaps someone has experience.

  1. Why don’t you rent a kei (or bigger) truck, and pick the stuff up at port and do the import procedure yourself? I did that when I bought some wood plastic composites from China and it came on a palette. Self-import is not that difficult you just fill out some paperwork and drive the truck through xray or whatever. And people at the port will have a forklift and stuff to load it for you.

  2. Our company uses Nittsu to clear our imports through customs and transport them to our warehouse.
