I started to buy some Japanese ebooks for my Kobo, only to discover that the pre-installed JP-JP dictionary is not able to independently select words, but only individual kanji. This makes it easier for me to read on the computer with Yomichan, which is really a pity because I bought the Kobo mainly to read books in foreign languages. Are there any dictionaries/plug-ins that recognise words automatically, at least in most cases?

You can press and slide the selection cursor to select the word instead of a single kanji. As for dictionaries, you can add custom dictionaries and I have a Japanese-English one which is quite good. Even though I don’t remember where I got it from I’m pretty sure you can find it with a few clicks on Google
Damn, and I thought the Kindle dictionaries were bad.
