2. Love that, very much enjoy that much sashimi to start and when they do the longish nigiri. I feel like that is a California thing. In NYC at least and Philly the nigiri is always bite sized.

5. Went to the izakaya Osen in Los Angeles (not sure if they’re related) and it was fireee. Wouldn’t call it the best sushi, but def good.

6. Best deal for sushi is go to Vancouver. CDN dollar is very weak.

8. Nice. As a local the Ootoro in Irvine, Shunka in Newport, and Ohshima in Orange are worth considering too. Osen you needed to spend 50+ before it gets good. I was disappointed in their 38 dollar chirashi which was mostly small cuts.

9. Looks superb! Here in the Texas panhandle we can get some pretty decent sushi but nothing on a par with that. Best I ever has was Tokyo One in Dallas, but that was many years ago.
