Went to the store and they had “Grade 1 Sushi Grade Tuna” so me and the wife got some. They vacuum sealed it and when I was looking at it I kept finding small black lines. She said they are veins, I felt that was right but always better to be safe than sorry.
For some reason because of a mixture of bad light and vacuum sealing the color gets washed out and looks grey but it’s very much red as tuna should be.
Thanks!

Look like veins to me
I’d say veins. Parasites in tuna are usually pale and very obviously wormlike. These are neither.
It’s always a hit or miss whenever it comes to tuna. But odds are, it’s just veins.
Veins. Fish have this substance known as blood.
Just veins. Its safe to eat but this is some really shit looking tuna

Sushi chef here
It’s vein
Worm would be longer than2cm and white color
Also work will leave residue in meat sort of mushy
Why does 1 look like a microscopic view of a dust mite pussy lmao 😂?
Just veins, but the color on that is awful
When in doubt, throw it out
