I was wondering if anyone knew of any other good places to sell belongings as I’m leaving Japan in a couple weeks. I am on the Facebook marketplace one but was looking for some other spots that maybe more Japanese also frequent
alternatively do the motanai thing and just give ’em away, just expect choosy beggars.
Best to take them to hardoff. You won’t be getting much though.
book off and disk union for your books, film and music.
Take it all down to Second Street or Manga Souko is your best bet to offlad in a hurry
Forget about Facebook groups. There’s tons of them (sayonara, mottanai etc), and they used to be decent. These days however it’s a complete waste of time. Extremely entitled, flaky, choosy beggars.
Do yourself a favour and use Jmty. Yes, it’s all in Japanese, but people don’t waste your time, and things sell fast. Never going back to FB groups.
If you want the best bang for your buck Mercari, if you want to sell cheaply search for Sayonara Sales in FB. And if you want to just get rid of something Mottainai Japan (never accept chakubarai)
Bookoff, Wattman and Recycle shops could be your best options

Merukari?
I don’t know anyone who uses FB marketplace.
Try a sayonara sale page.
go to jmty.jp – list items – profit?
