N5 or study hours for visa

So, I know some visas require for you to already pass n5 in your home country or simply have a specific number of hours put into studying the language. How the hell people from over there can calculate your study hours?

  2. I could be wrong but I studied N5 from a recognized language training center and upon completion of the program, we were issued a certificate indicating the duration of the course (150 hours). I guess that could be one of the documents one can use to prove that they’ve studied N5 for n numbers of hours.

If you’re taking a proper course it will have a specified duration. If you’re self studying then you’ll have to take a standardized test (such as JLPT N5).

  4. I just applied student visa. 150 hours is based from the certification of Language School you attended gave to you.
