What are your local chocolatier recommendations?

I’ve been wanting to try some local chocolate makers’ stuff. Something that is not like a huge popular international brand or mass production chocolate like Meiji and Glica, but rather local chocolate business (maybe even family business) products.

Do you have a local place that you absolutely love? I’m in Kanto, but happy to accept recommendations from anywhere in Japan.

  1. Recently discovered Chocolatier Erica in Shirokanedai (Tokyo), and their Ma Bonne bar has been my go-to for gifts!

  2. Sils Maria has really good 生チョコ – in fact, I think they are the first to make that type.

    Minimal is my go-to for client/friend gifts. They make really good chocs and cakes.
