I want to get all my hormone levels checked (test, estrogen, FSH, LH, etc) through a blood test. I called one clinic, but they said it’s not covered by insurance and will run about 3maan yen. Does anyone have any experience getting levels checked? Or know any cheap places to get it done?

I got it checked at the beginning of this month, it was covered by the NHI and I paid around 1,500 yen (Osaka).
Ive had them checked, but wasn’t covered. It cost a little under 1man. I assume the prices are going to vary by lab. In my case, because I asked for a test and there wasn’t anything wrong to warrant the test, it wasn’t covered.
AFAIK, if you have symptoms that might indicate a hormone issue, they should be covered. If you just want them, they will not be covered.
I have hormone levels checked every few months because of an autoimmune condition, it’s covered by insurance but I still have to pay for doctors consultation. I believe if the checkup is ordered by doctor it’s covered by insurance. If you just want it just because, then you gotta pay from pocket
If it’s for a medically reason, it should be covered. If it’s for infertility, I think it should be covered and that city hall would most likely have some extra money to apply for to help cover costs.
Me too, I have strong pmds and a histamine intolerance. Where is a specified clinic? Went to the endocrinologist but nothing came out :/

I found out a family member had a blood issue and just mentioned it to my doc at a regular appointment. He gave me a referral to get blood work done immediately. It was covered. Maybe you could go that route? Say hormone imbalance runs in your family and want to get it checked out.
If you asked for the tests, then no, not covered. I have to get blood work a couple times a year and it’s always ordered by the doctor, so it costs about 1 sen. See if you can get the doctor to order them by explaining exactly why you need them.
