Converting Foreign Bike Driving License-Unable to find a place & a bike to practice

Hi everyone. I am kind of stuck in this dilemma of a situation and the wiki didn’t help either so hoping you all can help me out.

I am trying the Bike Driving License converted from my country. I made an appointment at the Driving License Center, gave them the docs, passed the written test and was told to come back next month for the driving test after booking the appointment online.

Even before going for this appointment I had contacted the nearest driving school for a few hours of practice and general guidance before the test and they said they can only do so after I have a test date in hand.

Now I do have one but they are saying they are fully booked and don’t have slots till mid January. So I am trying to find some other Driving school that can give me a bike to practice with and the general instructions/tips to keep in mind for passing the test.

I called like 10 driving schools last evening but some didn’t have bikes, some dont allow you to practice until you do those long 3 month courses, some dont allow foreigners and other similar reasons.

So if anyone knows any Driving Schools that could possibly help me out it would be very helpful.

Note:
Tokyo,Kanagawa Prefecture location is what I am looking for.
English is preferred though simple Japanese would also be okay.
Money is not an issue provided they have the bike and timings available.
Need slot to be available before 7th Dec ideally, Upto mid december would also work

  1. are you going to buy a bike? talk to that shop if you are.

I know Yamaha used to have some instructors available for private tuition ( but that was primarily aimed at new bike owners).

Otherwise you are a unicorn in a horse society. can ride, no bike, want practice and don’t want to wait.

If you have an international bike license, maybe rental and a private instructor for a day. Good luck.

  2. I’d say just go fail the test once. They’ll probably fail you anyways even if you do it all right.
