take a picture of the damage, go to your nearest home center.
Gonna be captain obvious here and advise against repairing yourself *IF* it’s a rental. Sure there’s a chance that you do a perfect job and it goes unnoticed, but if you don’t you might end up paying for the repairs and losing your deposit for damages.
If you own the place, do whatever you please with it.
