Great-O-Khan talks about the future of United Empire
Great-O-Khan has said that Will Ospreay will not be leaving United Empire, that Ospreay will continue to represent United Empire once he joins AEW. O-Khan suggested increasing the number of United Empire members in AEW so can they show their dominance.https://t.co/idqUbWqLmr pic.twitter.com/BdLxf1Zu6l

That sounds good. They should give push to o’khan push as front man on Japan
Huh. Tony doesn’t seem that interested given he put Fletcher with Callis. And the UE IP isn’t as known as Bullet Club. Maybe it will be more unofficial.
Sounds good as long as someone gets elevated as the head in Japan and Ospreay/Aussie Open feature on NJPW cards often enough. There’s too many guys who are chasing a win against Ospreay to sever the ties like they did with Jay
Hopefully this shift helps UE be a bit hungrier and the absence becomes an additive dynamic for them, and by the same token I hope they get booked a bit better. One of Cobb, Khan, or Henare should get a breakout deep run in NJC, especially with that being a prime setup to elevate some stars (I’m hoping for something like Tsuji/Cobb to be headlining a later show)
AEW pretty clearly doesn’t care about UE branding at the moment. They don’t seem to care about consistency with Ospreay’s character at all.
After Ospreay leaves you will have Khan, Cobb, HENARE, TJP, Akira and Newman. A good stable but not as great as it was. I’m fine with them having no clear leader and just being some bros. Investing in Akira is the move in my opinion.
Sure. Like I can’t say I’m that excited for it but I’m also not an AEW regular viewer so of course it doesn’t. Idk man, as long as everyone is having a good time.
I would prefer if Okan and Cobb do like a sort of dual leader thing, something different.
Question.
Is Aussie Open still in the United Empire?
What was that thing weeks ago when TJP was saying something “was dying inside” of him and some kind of change was coming?
I think they could easily have TJP as the front guy for UE in Japan. He is good and respected enough.
Dumb decision, but not surprising. Just going to repost my comment from a few days ago that predicted this:
>What should happen – Someone kicks Ospreay out and takes over as leader. Unfortunately, there’s no one really suitable currently in the group to be a faction leader.
>What will happen – Nothing. Ospreay will still be the leader despite never appearing for New Japan, and the entire faction goes on like business as usual. No one in the faction will do anything of note except for Catch 2/2 involved in the junior tag titles.
Put Don Callis in the United Empire lmao
O-Khan as new #1? United Empire is gonna be mid.
Good love to see United Empire expanding world wide
Takeshita in UE!
Bad overall decision tbf.
GOK should kick his fucking arse and dump him out of the UE on his last day, I’d love to see a proper heated singles between them and could be invaluable to help raising them up. If they’re not gonna replace him as leader then they should probably disband ala SZG.
Get again more AEW bullshit impacting New Japan booking.
