My family is panning our snowboarding trip for the upcoming winter holiday and I can’t remember where I was in Japan but I saw a bunch of cabins at the base of the ski lifts where people just went straight to their lodgings straight from the slopes. I’ve been searching the ski resorts I’ve been to but I can’t seem to find any cabins that have that feature. Does anyone know where I’m talking about?

Naeba has the prince hotel at the bottom of the lift. So it’s a ski in/ ski out resort
Shiga kogen has lots of hotels directly on the slopes. But not really cabins, more guesthouses
Karuizawa also has them

The shit mountain, the shit hotel, kids running around in ski boots 24/7, shit food, shit customer service..

Yea, never again. Worth the extra drive to get to Hakuba Cortina for an on the mountain hotel.
