$50 in Sarasota, FL. Worth it to you?

Came with miso soup and salad. It was good but didnt knock my socks off. Would you pay fifty bucks for this meal?

  1. Not the best, not the worst. I recommend learning, it’s not as hard as people make it out to be

  2. Honestly Ginza on Fruitville was always my favorite sushi spot. I was never impressed anywhere else locally and it was always so much less expensive there. It’s all you can eat and I never had any bad experiences. They do limit the number of pieces of sashimi you can get but I always paid more to get extra pieces of salmon because it was always on point 🤤

  3. No, but I live in Japan though so that much sushi would be maybe 15-20 bucks tops at a mid range sushi restaurant.

  4. Wild people god this pegged as worth.

Chicago, great Quality AYCE at Sushi Taku is $40 and lunch is $25. Ima get this for two friday and then some.

It does look good tho, not denying that.

  5. My place of work sells 10pc nigiri and a Cali roll, comes with soup and salad, for like… $35?
But it looks.lole you got another roll back there too so maybe that balances out.

This does not look bad at all though, but if the nigiri and tekka roll was $50, it’s just a tiny bit overpriced imo

  6. Jesus Christ, people have zero awareness

    “I wouldn’t pay that, it’s $8 in Japan”

“Are you kidding me, it’s half that in Chicago! Wouldn’t pay that”

Not everyone lives where you live; OP is in FL. Sushi is relatively expensive in much of the US and prices are fairly similar restaurant to restaurant in the same area.

  7. No, but if that is the market rate that’s what you have to pay. I’ve cut down on sushi because while it was always a pricy treat, something like this at a local place would have been $20 6 years ago it would cost $50+ right now and my salary did not go up 2.5x over the same period of time.

  8. No, I’ve found sushi platters that feed two people that range from 45-60 dollars. I think it would’ve been worth more if they gave you two of each nigiri and removed the tekka maki
