Hello. My mom is coming to Japan soon on a tourist visa to help us with our newborn. She is 57. There are no travel insurances available to buy in our third-world home country. So, I am looking for suggestions of Japanese insurance providers. She will be staying in Japan for 50 days.
Here is what I have googled so far:
1. Tokyo Marine has a max coverage of 31 days.
2. Other major insurers’ Japanese website provides info only on travels outside of Japan. The English website only has investors’ relations info.
3. I found SafetyWing, but it has bad reviews all over the internet.
Preferable I would try to get an insurance from a Japanese provider.
Any advice is appreciated, thanks in advance.

Are you expecting your mother to have a medical emergency in Japan? If she has an issue and would like to have it treated while here, I do not think getting travel insurance and then trying to get it covered is the right way. That is insurance fraud.
If she will only be caring for an infant, I would just take the risk for 19 days. I would contact your embassy if I was concerned.
I don’t have any advice. But upvote for trying to be responsible and make sure she is covered.
Can she buy travel insurance at the airport at departure? That’s what I do when I leave Japan to travel abroad
