My partner of several years is very insistent on moving to Japan which I will love to do, and they have years of experience working over there, so they will be able to get a job and work visa with no problem, but I don’t have any school experience past high-school and my only work experience is working with the elderly and working in a café, while also knowing next to zero Japanese. I’m going to begin studying Japanese, and even tutoring english online to get some experience in, but I’m unsure if that will be enough to get me a visa.
Any advice, please?

You’re better off getting married or getting licensed for elderly care.
Are you married?
If not, the big issue here is that while they can get a job and a work visa here no problem, you do not.
If you were married it would be another story because you could get a dependant visa but as it looks like you’re not married, you would then have to be eligible for your own visa.
Your lack of degree kind of disqualifies you from a work visa, leaving you very little options. I suppose if you had the money, you could go for a Student visa? Maybe even getting a degree to actually qualify for your own work visa.
If you are married and your partner’s job provides a salary that immigration deems acceptable for supporting a dependent you can get a dependent visa.
That will allow you to live in Japan and work up to 28 hours a week (if approved by immigration). Honestly without Japanese language skills there aren’t a lot of jobs open to you, but it will at least be possible. Try learning as much Japanese as you can (maybe set a JLPT goal) and you’ll have a better experience.
If you’re not married I’d reconsider it. Atleast get N3 before going
You’ll need a bachelor’s degree or 10 years verifiable professional experience to get a work visa. If you got money to burn you can get a visa going to language school or possibly apply to one of the global 30 English bachelor degree programs at a Japanese university, tuition isn’t that bad if it’s a public university.
You’re allowed to work part time on a student visa.
Aside from this you’ll need to be married to get a dependent visa.
