After 1 year of studying I took N4 earlier today and I feel like I did well. There were only 3-4 questions I was unsure on. Looking forward to January for the results 🙂
Do you feel like it would be possible for me to take N3 in 6 months and do as well as I did on N4?

It’s not a video game where you get game over if you fail n3 – so nothing to lose shooting for it. The gap between n4 and n3 isn’t that much, so very doable.
N3 is just N4 with more kanji. But pretty much the same. The real challenge comes after N3.
I think N4 to N3 is a pretty big jump, I’ve long been able to crush the N4 too but still fell short of N3 on my last attempt. Still, if you’re determined you can take a shot at it and maybe even end up making it, like anything else it depends on your pace of learning and how rigorous your studies are. And like another comment said, if you don’t quite make it the first time you can just try right again next time.
Nice ! how was it im writing the N4 tomorrow to see where i sit for the N3 next year (my goal)
hope you did well!
Awesome!
A few questions
1) how was your timing? run short on time? any clocks?
2) how was the listening part? Do they play the audio only once?
3) were you able to read everything? or did you skim the answers and look for the best answer?
Hey, l know you do not have your results, yet BUT either way I would like to **CONGRATULATE** you for the dedication and effort you have put it to acquiring Japanese. So, Congratulations to you and thank you for sharing the good news!

Yes! Yes, and yes! I think it is absolutely possible for you to take and pass the N3 in 6 months! Actually, depending on how much time you have you to spend with Japanese each day you might even able to be fully prepared in less than 6 months.
But, one more thing … congratulations and keep up the good work! You can do it!
Did you take the N5 Before hand or just jump to N4? I live like six hours away from the closest testing place so was wondering if you could just do the N4 (assuming I would be ready for that)
Nice one! I am on my way to the testing centre now to take N5; I am not very confident at all with only three months of part time study, but work wants me to take it regardless.
がんばって!
