Kyoto – Osaka Itinerary – 4 days

As a part of my japanese trip we will going to stay in the Kyoto-Osaka region for 4 days.

Here are our plan for this period.

Day 0 – Arrive at the Kansai International. Travel to Kyoto by Haruka express. Hotel in Kyoto.

Day 1 – Sanjusangen-do (1001 golden statue) – Kyomizu-dera temple – (lunch in the icocic streets nearby) Afternoon – Yasaka Shrine – Kyoto Imperial palace and maybe the Golden Temple if still have time.

Day 2 – Fusimi Inari Taisha shrine (10 000 Toori gate) I think this is last until Lunch. – Afternoon we going to the Kyoto International Manga Museum until it’s closed at 17:30. Then maybe going to Osaka and eating at the Dotonbori + explore the nightlife at Osaka.

Day 3 – Daytrip to Nara

Day 4 – Full day in Osaka. – Osaka Castle, Osaka Muesum of History – Umeda Sky Building – Osaka Aquarium – Tempozan Ferris Wheel. – Dotonbori + Little Akihabara at night.

Day – 5 – Travell to Tokyo by Shinkansen.

  1. I don’t recommend eating lunch near Kiyomizu-Dera. Lots of tourist traps and mediocre food. Going to Nishiki, Gion, Teramachi, or Kyoto station for lunch would be a better idea

    Fushimi Inari doesn’t really take too long unless you want to do the full hike, which imo is not worth it as there’s nothing to see past the mid point

    You may not be able to do everything in Osaka in 1 day. Osaka Aquarium is huge and Osaka castle is really crowded
