Hi everyone,
In planning a move to Japan from the US, the biggest part for me is going to be figuring out what to do with my US financial assets (investments, company options, etc) and how they get taxed in certain situations.
These situations can be quite complex, and while I’ve found a lot of helpful resources online and in other subreddits, I’d prefer to speak to a true professional at the end of the day after I’ve done my research.
Thus, I’m wondering if others here know if there are certain CPAs or other professionals that are specialized in both US and Japanese financial laws that I can pay for expert consultation. At least, I want to be pointed towards a general direction of the type of professional and qualifications I should look for. Thanks.
