1. I hope they tasted great. I love local Japanese food but I have never had Japanese school food before!

2. That looks better than most restaurants in the US.

3. I always loved eating with my kids when I taught in Japan. The elementary school students helped serve the lunches to their classmates and the lunches were by-and-large pretty tasty! Some of the lunches featured eggs from the school chickens the students helped take care of.

4. I took photos of my lunches for a month the summer before I left, it’s still fun to look at them a decade later. You will really appreciate the effort you put into this in the future!
