手+Verb accent

I found a pattern in Japanese verbs when 手 is combined with Heiban verbs – 手 takes the accent \[H represents High pitch and Low represents Low pitch\]:

Example:

拭く

LH

手を拭く

HLLH

結ぶ

LHH

手を結ぶ

HLLLL

振る

LH

手を振る

HLLL

貸す

LH

手を貸す

HLLL

With Non-Heiban words:

切る

HL

手を切る

HLHL

叩く

LHL

手を叩く

HLLHL

拱く

LHHL

手を拱く

HLLHHL

I confirmed this using Ojad. With Ojad only 手を切る came incorrect but when I checked at praat and got the following which confirmed my obeservation

  1. I think your thighs is interesting.

However, You can also say like:

    手を拭く HLLL,

    手を結ぶ HLLHH,

    手を振る LHHL,

    and

    手を貸す LHHL.

I think both patterns are used depending on the person.
