I know you can buy red bean paste online or at an Asian grocery store but I wanted to attempt to make myself during my search for azuki beans I found these, they look very similar but they’re just labeled “small red beans” are these the same bean ??
Actual Adzuki beans are from the Vigna angularis plant. Goya doesn’t state what plant variety their small red beans come from – but they do, in fact also sell actual Goya Adzuki beans. [https://www.goya.com/en/products/adzuki-beans](https://www.goya.com/en/products/adzuki-beans)
That said, Eff Goya. I will not elaborate further.
Are we talking about sweet red bean paste? Let us know how it goes!
Those aren’t the same type of bean. But you could make shiroan as opposed to anko, which uses white beans. Easier to find.
