So I bought a Buffalo Router cuz I needed a router for my apartment and the building comes with internet via a LAN Cable. However I come back from work and none of my devices are connecting. I usually circumvent by unplugging the router waiting about 15 seconds then plugging it back in. Problem is that it is no longer working. I read some other posts about how it’s a PPPoE authentication error on Japanese Routers that states if the device isn’t on the local database it will fail the authentication and not connect to the internet. I really don’t want to go through the hassle of troubleshooting this cuz I’m very frustrated cuz I log into the router via my laptop only for it to say the Router itself isn’t connected to the internet even though I have it plugged in via Ethernet. Can I just buy a non-Buffalo router to circumvent this or will I run into the same issue later on?
