Job Hunting: Where to start?

I’m graduating with a master’s degree next year in September and I’m looking for a job to start spring 2025, but I’m not really sure where to start. Could you guys share how you did your job hunting? I’m mostly confused about what companies I should apply to, how to make sure I don’t enter any “black companies” by accident, etc. So far the only companies I’ve applied to are ones I’ve heard from or recommended by my senpais and the ones I can find on LinkedIn. How did you guys find information about companies to apply to? I’m looking for a job in the IT field or in game development as that’s where my studies have focused on.
