  1. i read this line of dialog in a manga: 最近勉強で夜遅いらしくて… 寝不足と貧血が重なっちゃってるみたいでさ、昼休みは保健室で休むって、薬院(やくいん)行ったげてよ。

the speaker is talking about her friend who apparently studied too hard. She is telling another character to go to her? t I don’t understand is the 行ったげてや. The same speaker has used this 〜た + げて thing before but I tried searching it up on Google and couldn’t find anything so I just moved past it. But here it comes up again and I still couldn’t find anything so here we are. Please help 🙏

  2. I asked this in a previous daily thread, but didn’t get a lot of responses.

Is anyone aware of any websites, books, etc. that have a list of mnemonics for vocabulary and/or kanji?

Ideally broken out by JLPT level. But, I could always do that on my own.

I find myself naturally creating mnemonics as I study. But, if there was a resource which has already done this it may help streamline this process.

  3. How can I learn Japanese with anime/shows/movies that have Japanese audio and subtitles that are too advanced for me? Should I write anything down? How should I go about this? I have Japanese Netflix and not all of the shows/movies/anime have English subtitles.

  4. Tripping up a bit on this first part:

    > おれはマソ族の出だ。飛鹿の放牧と狩りで食ってたんだが、南から流れてきた女に惚れちまって、妻から離縁された。

Context: Someone is describing their (probably nomadic) background.

That 飛鹿の放牧と狩りで食ってたんだが part is a bit iffy for me, is it like, he’s hunting with the grazing deer in order to eat?

I think it’s something like, “I’m out of the MOSU family (tribe?). Hunting with the grazing flying deer to eat, but, fell in love with a woman from the south, was divorced by my wife.”

  5. > 「親父次第だけどな。連れて行っても、親父が駄目だっちゅうたら、駄目だけど、でも、おれとしちゃ、あんたが来てくれれば、たすかる……」

Context: Someone (若者) is going to introduce a wanderer to people of the town.

Was wondering what is だっちゅう and also what is しちゃ

I think this is something like, “Up to my dad though. Even if I go with you, if he says no [????], it’s no but, with me [???], if you come, it helps.”

    But, IDK
