Hi! I’ll be traveling with my wife in a (delayed) honeymoon to Japan in Feb – March, and this is gonna be our second travel abroad, first time in Japan. So we’re looking to sort of pack this trip with some new experiences, but still not packed enough to be hectic instead of romantic. And we’re not really experienced sightseeers, so a lot of the stuff we picked are just recommendations from friends, so we’re not really sure if the way we arranged them is correct/feasible/optimal. We also love ramen, but only Ichiran has been recommended to us really. So, we’re looking for suggestions on the itinerary details, and maybe some more honeymoon-y activities?
**Day 1**:
* Arrival in NRT Japan: 11:35AM
* Train to Tokyo
* Check in
* Visit: Shibuya Crossing? Hachiko Statue, Donki or a mall for winter clothes and some shopping
* Ichiran ramen
**Day 2**:
* Konbini breakfast
* Checkout early, Travel to Osaka
* Check in to Osaka
* Visit: Osaka Castle, Shitenno-ji, Tenpozan Ferris Wheel, **other suggestions?**
**Day 3**
* Universal Studios Day
**Day 4**
* Day trip to Nara – Visit Deer
* Travel to Kobe – to fill out? Kobe beef, but that can be gotten anywhere else in japan
**Day 5**
* Check out of Osaka
* Train to Kyoto
* Check in to Ryokan
* Visit: Arashiyama, Ninnenzaka, Sannenzaka, Yasaka Pagoda
**Day 6**
* Visit: Ginkaku-Ji, Shimogamo-jinja, Kamigamo-jinja, Tenryu-ji, Kimono Forest
**Day 7**
* Check out of Kyoto
* Travel back to Tokyo
* Check-in (after 3pm)
* Explore tokyo: TeamLab Borderless, Fighting game arcade, Unicorn gundam statue
**Day 8**:
* Visit: Suga-jinja – Your Name stairs
* Yoyogi Park/Meiji Jingu
* Tokyo Tower
* Roppongi Hills
**Day 9**
* More or less free day
* Kimono rental?
* Date Night, Ginza Steak
**Day 10**
* Ueno Koen – Park, maybe cherry blossoms?
* Akihabara – Anime merch shopping
* Senso-ji
* FFXIV Eorzea Cafe
**Day 11**
* Tokyo Station for souvenirs, free day
* Check out
* Flight out of Japan at 8:55 PM
So yeah. Bit of a weeb/gamer tokyo trip, our only non-negotiable visits are WWHP in USJ because wife is a big potterhead, and fighting game arcades/akihabara/FFXIV cafe for me. Also a ryokan in kyoto because we wanted to try it once for the Japan experience, but 2 nights might be too much? But transfering hotels might be a pain.
Otherwise, it’s a pretty empty trip that maybe we can fill in with other romantic activities if there are any suggestions? We also really wanted to try maybe a private onsen but we don’t know where and when to go and fit it in the Kansai portion of the itinerary.
