Customs 24 pieces of cosmetics/makeup limit

Hi!

I’ll be moving to Japan in a few days and I’m wondering just how strict they are with customs, especially for the “up to 24 per one item” rule for cosmetics.

I have a makeup collection that I’d like to bring with me as I’ll be living in Japan for 2 or more years. The lipsticks/lip products are well over 24 items and they’ve all been personally used/swatched by me. Would bringing this still be a problem despite them being already-opened & used products?

Another problem is that I’ll surely be checked by Customs because I’m bringing in medicine. I have the Yunyu Kakunin-sho that I’ll be showing to the customs officer which I’m guessing they’ll look at before asking to inspect the medicine I’ll be bringing over. Not sure if they’ll take the chance to look at the rest of my luggage too (so they might chance upon my makeup🥲).

Some insight on this situation would be very much appreciated! Happy New Year!
