Asked this before but I’m going to try again.
Bought something from the US Amazon and they couldn’t deliver it due to customs. Now they’re saying there’s an issue with the refund and they can only refund via gift card or cheque.
I don’t want to buy anything from them anymore in case this happens again so I don’t want a gift card. I don’t think a cheque is a good option either because it’ll cost a fee (from what I know).
Has anyone been in this kind of situation before?
I’ve got a classic pension exemption confusion question. Applied for exemption back in November. I’ve received payment slips plus a nenkin net letter with an access key. Haven’t received anything about the exemption.
I know I don’t need to pay the payment slips yet but I’ve tried creating an account to check the exemption status and it says my basic pension number or access key are wrong (quadruple-checked and they arent).
Has anyone had a similar issue?
Also, any timelines on when I should expect the exemption (or refusal of it) to come through? Should i have received it by now? I’m moving out of this address at the end of january
1. My residence card is set to expire in August.
2. I’ve received 1-year renewals for the past 2 years (international services).
3. I got married last year in September.
4. I will have lived in Japan for 8 years at the time of my renewal
If I get a 3-year renewal this time, I can apply for permanent residency when it’s time for the next renewal.
Do you think I would have a higher chance of getting a 3 year renewal if I apply for the same international services visa as I have the previous two years, or if I apply for a spousal visa?
There’s a business across from me which has contracted private garbage collection to pick up their cardboard. The trucks have super loud compressors and often come between 5 and 7AM, inevitably waking me up because of the shitty windows in my apartment.
I checked the city noise bylaws and based on our zoning, they’re not allowed to make this much noise until 8am or later.
Two questions:
1. Does anyone know if garbage disposal (even if private), is exempt from noise laws?
2. I’ve never made a noise complaint before. Is this something that I should go to police about, or go to the 市役所?
Funny enough, my city has a link on their website to file a noise complaint but the link 404s lol.
