Kyoto – Nagoya – Osaka

Hi! I’ll be traveling to Japan soon and want to know what’s the best route time and money wise to go from either Kyoto or Osaka to Nagoya and come back.

Either

Tokyo- Kyoto – Nagoya – Osaka – Tokyo

Or

Tokyo – Osaka – Nagoya – Kyoto – Tokyo

I would be coming from Tokyo and going back to Tokyo. So I’d really appreciate any advice.
