I’m just looking for general feedback and advice.
Some background:
We’re both going to be college graduates after this upcoming semester. I will have a 4 year BA in physics, and he’s getting a 4 year degree in computer science (his degree is more specific than that but I don’t know exactly what it is). I am fluent in English, and proficient in French, while he is fluent in English, Vietnamese, and proficient in Spanish. Neither of us have Japanese experience, but we do have a fair bit of experience in learning languages, and are willing to enroll in some foreign language schools to make it work.
From reading around this sub a bit it seems like you guys are generally more likely to lean towards advising against moving to Japan, which I appreciate. We might also just move to the shit (not really it seems nice) city of Seattle or some place in Canada, but I, at least, am ready to leave America and seek my fortune elsewhere.
Also he’s a little concerned about anti-Vietnamese racism. We’re both from NYC so outside of the odd Vietnam veteran or autistic kid he doesn’t have to deal with it, and I’m white so of course I don’t really have to care about racism, but do you guys think that could be an issue?
