1. So there was some up and down for New Year Dash :
   – Matt Riddle coming to New Japan is something, I don’t really know if it will be for the best.
   – Very happy for Oskar and Yuto, they deserve that moment, and I hope we get some interview to see what type of wrestlers they want to be.
   – Chase Owens getting a IWGP Tag title shot insanely bad . I love Kenta, but damn, Chase Owens is a cockroach who don’t deserve this spotlight. (At least it’s not with Fale)
   – Very disapointed that we go again with Tama versus EVIL. With his departure, I was hoping for something more meaningful than that. Specially the Never Title was in the oblivion with Tama vs Bullet Club oblivion feud since 2022. Maybe if they add a layer of fun with the hair it would be better.
   – Kanemaru as first defense for Desperado is okay, I’m hype of DespeWato clash.
   – The United Empire vs War Dogs was hype. I was hoping for the Ospreay’s last match we get a passing of the torch 1v1 against a young boy. But if they manage to put over Finlay, the War Dogs and secure the future of United Empire without Will, it’s okay.
   – Just 5 Guys vs LIJ continue, and it seem SANADA will challenge back for the title? I was hoping for Yuya or Taichi. I’m a bit dissapointed from this choice. One good note its we will get more Hiromu vs Douki !
   – Ishimori winning the KOPW is okay, him or OKhan was my choice. I hope he will get some good stipulation ideas

   – TMDK beat Chaos/BCC is insanely hype. I was rooting for a team with Heavyweight and one Junior for the Never Tag belt, and they make Fujita look like a star. He deserve that spot and I think it’s a smart choice to put the belt on TMDK.

2. I was less than enthusiastic the further the show went on.

   – Riddle coming to NJPW I really hope is just a one off. Really don’t care.
   – Chase Owens being in the title picture was a bit of a wet fart “surprise”. The tag title scene I already have very little interest in. This now makes it essentially to me having none.
   – Not sure what it is about House of Torture that demands so much spotlight, but both the Never openweight and IWGP Jr. both being gone after by HoT, I’d rather watch paint dry.

   I don’t feel like anything major came out of this one, which is disappointing as I felt like this year’s NYD had a good amount of hype around it.

3. I liked the Bullet Club/UE stuff and Fujita challenging the big guns.
