  1. Is it necessary to always use ga with ~tai form? Is saying for example “X wo tabetai” ok? (or even “X tabetai” with no particles?) or should it always be “X ga tabetai”?

  2. Hi, could someone help be understand this text from a manga better. The context is somebody found out that their friend has a partner, and that friend wants to find out how far they have gotten in the relationship with their partner. This is the sentence:

    ”で!?どこまでやっちゃったんすか!?行き着く果てのさらなる先まで行っちャッたんスカ!?”

The part of the sentence i am struggling to piece together and understand is ”行き着く果てのさらなる先まで行っちャッたんスカ!’.

‘行き着く’ and ‘果て’ are new words/kanji to me.

Could someone please break down this sentence and help me understand it better. Thank you in advance.

  3. Quick question, what is とした doing grammatically in this sentence from a Demon Slayer game?

    「そして何より、彼には、きぶつじを倒すというはっきりとした目的があります。」

english: And above all else, for him, he has a clear objective to “defeat kibutsuji”! is とした supposed to mean “as”?

  4. # Why is the “u” in ぬいぐるみ silent when referring to ぬ

I’m just starting to learn japanese hiragana (I’m a bare minimum) beginner and in the video im watching they had me read this word out but the “u” in the ぬ part of the word isn’t pronounced. I tried looking it up and it said something about it not being pronounced in between unvoiced consonants but い sounds pretty voiced to me. Could someone explain this to me? Thanks!

  5. Reading the example essay from quartet 1 chapter 1. Got some questions

    1. イチローは、努力と結果で人々を感動させる素晴らしい人だつた。「今、どんな練習が、どのくらい必要なのか」といつも考えていたらしい。
Does the が in second sentence mean but? Like: “Apparently Ichiro is always thinking 「now, what type of practice, but how much is necessary」?

    2.自分に厳しくて、練習を休むのは年に数日だけだったそうだ
The 練習を休む is confusing me. Is it saying”because he was strict with himself, he was only absent from practice for a few days”?

    3. イチローは、結果を出すまで決して諦めなかったし、いつもチャレンジし続けていた。努力を続けて結果もきちんと出したところが本当に尊敬できる

Does the チャレンジ mean challenge himself?, like: “Until he achieved results, Ichiro never gave up, always challenged (himself) and continued “?

The second sentence is also confusing me, what does the ところ at the end of second sentence mean? I understand this like “He continued his efforts and even properly achieved results, and ところが(?) i can truly respect him”

  6. From spy x family chapter 8: [https://ibb.co/7zqcCPy](https://ibb.co/7zqcCPy)

I am not sure about the usage of the word 私憤 here. It refers a grudge against personal matters but Anya (アーニャ) held a grudge against someone. Maybe I misunderstood what 私憤 means.

  7. 勉強した文法はなるべく使うようにしましょう

Why do you use 使うように here? Would other verb forms work too? The structure explanation on Bunpro says **なるべく** + (Action) Phrase, which isn’t very helpful.

  8. What’s the best online structured 1-to-1 speaking class?

I’m looking at Berlitz, but it seems to do it man to man you need to do 6 lessons a week, which I can’t do.

Coto is another option, but I’ve seen some bad reviews for it.

Are there any other options? Ideally based in Japan.

  9. Hi! I’m new to learning Japanese and the app I’m using to learn on is having me say goodbye as “じゃまた” but I’ve read a lot of stuff suggesting to use “じゃまたね” so I was wondering what the difference was and how does adding “ね” change this phrase and others moving forward? ありがとござます!

  10. hiii im trying to say sometimes on saturdays i go to (my boyfriend) house. did i say this properly? if not how do i fix it?

ときどき どようび わたしの かれしの うちゃで いきます。
