Follow-up to a silly bus incident I posted about on March

Last time I made my first obligatory r/japanlife's overly dramatic post. So this is just a follow-up to that silly bus incident.

This time around it is more funny than dramatic. So after the first incident, I filed a complaint, and the bus company's response was that they followed up with the bus driver, he said that I paid (121 yen -kinda ridiculous if you ask me-) and so he asked me to pay more, though they apologize for the attitude.

I responded by saying that I am not asking them for a refund, but to set the record straight, and to affirm that I paid the full amount the first time.

I moved on and forgot about the incident. After 3 months, on the first of June, I took the bus at night and I was so tired. I paid slowly and got off. The bus driver honked at me and called me, to my surprise it was the same bus driver. In the beginning, he claimed that I didn't pay the exact amount, and then he claimed that I didn't put the ticket in. I said I put it in. Then he gestured to me rudely to get off, so I just went home and laughed it off for the night. However, the next morning I involved the university to complain about his behavior and document everything. The company said that they asked the driver about it and he confirmed that I paid the full amount but this time he couldn't find the ticket so he wanted to confirm where I boarded. However, they gave him a lecture that he should always behave respectfully or at least that's what they claimed. My guess at this point was maybe this guy is just racist.

That was until yesterday when I took the bus and before getting in I noticed it was this driver. So I paid close attention, and as crazy as it sounds, he did the same thing to a Japanese teenager, after he paid and got off, he honked at him, and when he came back he made him pay more. At this point I am not sure if he is racist, stealing, or just crazy.

So when it was my stop, I went towards the machine, I opened my left palm with the money in it and put it into his face, my right hand holding the ticket in a similar manner. He told me to put them in but I ignored him and I just kept staring at him. Until he reached to the ticket in my hand and he was about to start complaining that the amount is not enough, then he checked the screen and shut up. He put the ticket in and again told me to put the money in, but I just stood still till he reached for the money in my hand and he put it in himself. I waited some more until he told me everything was okay and I should go, only then I got off the bus.

Basically my conclusion, I think he might have some mental problems, but yeah that's pretty much it.

The lesson is to always file your complaints as trivial as they might seem and record everything, you never know when you cross paths with a psycho.
