Tried posting in r/LearnJapanese but I didn't have enough post karma. Basically, I am looking to move to Japan around next summer/fall and stay there for a year to attend language school. I'm in the research process and am having a difficult time choosing a school. The one that caught my attention most is KCP International, but it seems a bit expensive at $9,000 for one year. I've also looked a Lexis Japan which I was interested in, but that one was just way out of my price range at $12,000 for a year. As of now, I don't really have any intentions on living in Japan long term or working in Japan, so I am not looking to go to a school that emphasizes Japanese for business or entering a university. I want to learn with an emphasis on speaking and reading, and am looking for a school with medium intensity. I have been looking specifically at Tokyo, because my uncle and aunt live in Shinjuku. While $9,000 is not completely out of my range, I'd preferably want to enroll in a school that is around $6,000 or less for a year as I am planning to set aside around $25,000 for a year studying in Japan.
