Question about とい: So I know the basic definition of being “to be called” but then I come across sentences like these:
寝るっていうのがテンプレ
結婚というゴールのない関係は愛人と同じよ
Where that meaning doesn’t really make sense. So what other definition am I missing?
> 逃がすかっ!逃がしてたまるかっ!
Context: A is fighting B. B starts to run away and A says the above. Afterwards, A grabs B so they can’t get away.
I think this somehow says something like “I won’t let you get away!” and in context that makes sense.
Was wondering about 逃がしてたまるか mostly. Is it using 堪まる maybe? So they won’t “tolerate” the other person running away? Not so sure.
