Duolingo: word bank, 12-key, qwerty?
I started Duolingo a few months ago. There’s a setting to turn off romaji early, which I did. Similarly, there’s a setting to choose how you input Japanese: tap words from the word bank, or type them with a keyboard. On my phone I can choose either a 12-key or QWERTY keyboard.
The word bank is fast but makes me a bit lazy. 12-key is slow, doubly so for small letters, diacritics, and katakana, and will be a hard transition. QWERTY makes me think in romaji, and I’m not sure I like that (but isn’t it what Japanese people use as the input method these days anyway?).
What do you recommend?
Anyone knows if it’s possible to get japanese transcriptions just in hiragana?
why is the bluish dragon in Dragon Quest called a キースドラゴン? It sounds like it wants to kiss you?

What does 一部科目は 6 時限 mean?
Also, I wonder what is the difference between 3時限, 3時限目, and 3限. I got the impression that all three mean the same thing.
